Kamal Gatta Mala

A Kamal Gatta Mala is a rosary made out of the dried seeds of a lotus. These seeds are oval in shape and black and brown in color. A single thread holds a total of 108 beads. These seeds have certain properties that help the devotee stay mindful while performing any devotional service or ritual. The mala symbolizes the goddess Lakshmi, who is also known as Kamalyaasini, meaning “one who sits on a lotus.”
